The Story of Lamppost Farm
Lamppost Farm, a non-profit organization established by Steve and Melanie Montgomery in 2007, has a long history of reaching and teaching others through regenerative agriculture. The Christian ministry focused on developing relationships within and among individuals, with God and God’s creation through education, hospitality, stewardship, discipleship and quality food. The name Lamppost Farm was chosen based on the lamppost in the Chronicles of Narnia, signifying an entrance into a new world, where life is different. Lamppost Farm offered an entry-point into a transformative experience, unique from it's surroundings.
Today, Lamppost Farm is developing into something new. Though the physical farm is no longer in operation, Lamppost Farm remains a nonprofit organization that holds the same values and fosters connections with community members and farmed food as God intended. Steve and Mel continue their faith filled endeavors, serving the community through the farm planting network, Fireberry, and a bulk food and refillery store, The Dutch Cupboard.

Meet Our Executive Director - Amanda Glass
Amanda and her husband Robert, along with daughter, Dorothy, reside in Poland, Ohio. Amanda has a background as a School Psychologist, working primarily with elementary age children and is passionate about protecting the health and development of our youth.
Amanda found Lamppost Farm on her personal journey in overcoming persistent health and fertility challenges. She participated in the Fields' Corners pilot program in 2023, which led her through physical healing, finding Jesus and finally being blessed with sweet baby girl, Dorothy Ann.
Amanda joined Lamppost as manager of Field’s Corners in 2025. She now resides as Executive Director and is leading the charge in the Farm to School Initiative.
